The Backstory

June 2025. I was frustrated with my inability to effect change. Beyond voting, I felt I had no power to create a better place for my grandchildren and future generations across the planet. Wars, famine, politics, and climate, I couldn't do anything. Voting once every two years or standing on the corner with a sign was not enough. Fortunately, I realized that slowing climate change is an individual sport. No permission is required. I don't need to ask my partner or my senator. I don't need to wait for government policy. I have the power to reduce my emissions, and this matters just as much as my vote in a democratic society. I wanted to share that good news with others. This website and movement is the result of that passion

Just David

I am just a goofy old white guy trying to do the right thing every day. (I do have some great friends who are checking my numbers and keeping me on the rails.)

I am an engineer and an educator. I have been teaching the basics of climate change and renewable energy to about 1,000 students each year for the past 15 years. I love teaching. No, I am not a climate scientist. The basics of climate science can be taught and understood by everyone, thanks to all the work that climate scientist have done to study and model this very complex phenomenon.

DI not AI

This website does not include anything generated or summarized by AI. The design and formatting of the website and all of the content were put together by David Intelligence (DI) along with other HI (Human Intelligence)..

Like AI, David used Google and other search engines to find the information contained within the website. Unlike AI, I do the hard work of finding credible sources. I have years of teaching climate science and renewable energy. I understand the biases and nuances of the issues and can separate the wheat from the chaff. I also created original content for this site —my own ideas, something AI cannot do.

I welcome any fact-checking on this site. Send me a note about what I got wrong and list the original source of your information. (Not to be snarky, but I am not looking for your opinion. If you don't like the content, find another website.)
